Jonathan Schoenheider

Owner

With vast industry experience and as an owner of Regency Builders, Jon will be heavily involved with the build of your new home. On the front end of your project, Jon will provide a cost analysis for the desired home, along with any additional factors that may come into play with your selected site. With profound insight about the budgeting process and building costs, Jon is often the liaison between the architect’s ideas and the financial picture. He facilitates the design team and offers architectural design input and guidance, while maintaining balance among your wants, needs, and budget.

Jon also manages the submission and approval process with the county, municipality, Department of Natural Resources and state regulatory bodies that control various permitting. He has established strong relationships with the representatives of the various municipal agencies and has successfully navigated through several challenging projects, never giving up on  bringing our client’s dreams to life.

Aside from leading the initial stages of your new home build, Jon is also responsible for quality inspections, sales and marketing, building systems improvement and the management of operations for Regency Builders. Much of Jon’s system development can be attributed to his active participation in the National Association for Home Builders’ (NAHB) 20 Program. Jon was also a past board member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the Metropolitan Builder’s Association (MBA).

Mike Bertram

Owner

Mike joined the family business at inception in 1973. In his earlier days he trained with framing carpenters, finish carpenters, tile setters, plumbers, electricians and drywallers, setting the tone for him to become the best possible project manager in the industry.  As the lead consultant for the project managers for home construction, Mike handles all of the construction draws and serves as the primary point of contact for construction communication with subcontractors and vendors. His expertise and keen eye for detail gives him the ability to walk into a room and dissect the structural integrity of the building. With a deep knowledge of structural, geo and survey engineering, Mike is able to assist our architects in ensuring each home is matched to its ideal site. His years of hands-on experience give him the ability to generate the best solutions to the challenges we may face during the construction process. His efficiency is nothing short of amazing, as he typically gets each home completed ahead of schedule.

Mike has the ability to manage the most complicated home building projects and is also talented enough to jump in with a hammer around the job site. His customer oriented focus on value engineering and superior philosophy of quality work drive him to treat every home as if it were his own. He is extremely passionate about his family legacy and works to perform to the best of his abilities each day.

Wendy Schoenheider

Wendy Schoenheider

Owner

As the daughter of Hank and Carol Bertram, the founders of Regency Builders, Wendy has been with the company her whole life. Now as part-owner of Regency, Wendy works on a part time basis reviewing quarterly financial information. She is also responsible for reviewing the monthly financial information and creating financial statements for all the Regency corporations and partnerships, job analysis, and working with the external tax accountants in providing information and understanding of the company in order to complete the Regency’s tax returns.

Pat grew up in Northeastern Wisconsin working as a laborer for his father’s new home construction business. He has a bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater and a master’s degree from UW-Stout specializing in Construction Management. Pat has diverse experience in the construction industry including project management and estimating in the commercial and residential sectors.

He joined the Regency team in 2006 and his main focus is on working with our clients in the pre-construction planning stages. This includes project feasibility analysis and cost estimating – helping balance financial budgets with our clients’ dreams and desires. Pat prides himself on developing long term relationships with our clients and helping to create the game plan for a successful construction project and a truly enjoyable building experience.

Chad Monty

Project Manager

Chad joined Regency Builders in 2003 after working in the construction field as a carpenter since 1997. As a Project Manager, Chad focuses his efforts on making sure each client’s vision becomes a reality. Chad wears many hats at Regency including running most of the remodel projects.

Aside from his duties as a Project Manager, Chad also assists with building maintenance, handles warranty work and occasionally puts on his salesman hat at the model homes. As Mike’s right hand man, Chad joins Mike on all of the customer walk throughs and is responsible for all customer service after occupancy on Mike’s homes. Chad will be more “picky” about your home than you will!

Kevin McLaughlin

Project Manager

With 35 years in residential construction, Kevin has experience in remodeling, where he began his journey in his father’s family construction company, progressing into managing multi-million dollar homes in the North Shore suburbs of Illinois. He spent 13 of those years as a carpenter foreman which provided him with valued field experience in the trades that can’t be taught in the books. He joined the Regency family business in 2004 and continues to add to his vast experience including attaining his Wisconsin CCP and staying current with the latest building science methodology of this ever changing industry.

From the first shovel in the ground, Kevin works shoulder to shoulder with his clients through every step to completion. He serves as a liaison to his clients, city inspectors, engineers and architects to ensure the many facets of the project come together successfully. He has developed many long term relationships with his clients which is a true testament to the commitment he puts into every Regency home.

Nick Schoenheider

Project Manager

Beginning the 3rd generation, Nick Schoenheider proudly joins Regency Builders! Nick has been around the business his entire life, often showing homes for Regency’s Tour of Dreams or working summers with trusted framing carpenters. With a bachelor’s degree from The University of Wisconsin – Madison in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Nick brings a systematic approach to project management. Following graduation, he spent time in Seattle, WA in the Aerospace Industry as a Front Line Production Supervisor for a large machine shop and a Continuous Improvement Engineer building Boeing aircraft doors. During his years in college he worked at Aptar Corporation, a local plastic injection molding company as a Quality Engineer on companies, such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi. He also spent 3 years as Editor-in-Chief for The Wisconsin Engineer, the oldest student organization on campus at Madison.

Prior to starting college, Nick played and won at a state level for the Arrowhead’s High School basketball and football team, where he also earned the title of team captain for each. It’s no wonder some of Nick’s favorite Regency homes over the years involve sport courts.

Like any family business, Nick wears many hats – those of Project Manager for new home construction, Sales for our Tour of Dream’s, and Lead Representative for Renovations by Regency. Nick’s enthusiasm and go-getter attitude brings new youth to Regency, helping us to continue the brand of high quality, extraordinary homes for years to come!

Karen Polzer

Administrative Assistant

Karen joined Regency Builders in 2001 as an Administrative Assistant. She assists with all aspects of the office including the processing of accounts payable and data entry. Karen provides support to the construction team by assisting with the preparation of bid presentations and change orders. Prior to joining Regency, Karen received her degree in finance from UW-Whitewater and worked in the banking industry for over 10 years.

Pam Callies

Pam Callies

Property Management Administrator

Pam has been a Property Management Administrator with Regency Builders since 1995. Her daily responsibilities include the daily accounting for the Regency rental properties and assisting the property managers with any administrative duties such as rent collection, move-ins and move-outs and lease administration. She is responsible for multiple residential properties as well as several office buildings and retail properties.

Debbie has been the Office Manager at Regency since 1981. With over 30 years of experience working in the administrative areas of the construction industry, Debbie demonstrates a strong understanding of construction draws and account payables and receivables, along with the daily task of running the office for Regency Builders.
